I'm in the middle of a support ticket with Citrix but it's been going on for weeks and weeks. Once logged in he'd restart his computer and then remote in again and things would be normal. While doing this the phantom Windows Key would not be active. Then to enter lowercase letters and a successful password, he'd hold Shift to negate the Caps Lock. He figured out he could avoid the behavior by turning on Caps Lock. This is normally invoked with Windows key + u. As he is typing his password, the "Ease of Access" dialog box comes up. At the login screen he types his password which happens to contain a letter "u". A window pops up and interferes with entering his password. If you hold Win key + a number, it launches the corresponding task bar shortcut. After discussing this experience, it sounded like a keyboard shortcut. He typed 1,2,3,4,5, etc and noticed each press launched an app that appears, in order, in his task bar shortcuts. User1 noticed that number keys were launching apps. Computers remoting to are Windows 7 64 bit SP1. Recent months a weird problem has surfaced, and only a couple users have noticed it. It is as if the Windows key is being held down (but it is not). We use GoToMyPC for users to work remotely. ![]()
